Morning Shows Dress Up as TV Icons For Halloween

By Merrill Knox

After last year’s on-air parties were canceled in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Halloween was back in full swing today on the morning shows. On “Today,” Al Roker was Mr. T from “The A-Team,” Savannah Guthrie and Natalie Morales were Laverne and Shirley, Matt Lauer and Willie Geist were the lifeguards from “Baywatch” and Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb were The Flinstones. Lauer made a particularly memorable Pamela Anderson-like entrance onto the plaza (video after the jump).

On “GMA,” Robin Roberts was Oprah, Dan Harris was Ryan Seacrest, Lara Spencer was Uncle Si from “Duck Dynasty” and Josh Elliot was Abe Lincoln. The anchors also did costume changes: in the second round, Spencer was Miley Cyrus, George Stephanopoulos was George Clooney from “Gravity,” Elliott and Sam Champion were Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone and Roberts was Olivia Pope.

“Fox & Friends” got in on the Halloween action, too: the “F&F” team dressed up as “Duck Dynasty” for the last segment of the show.
