Morning Shows Cover Megyn Kelly ‘Book Bombshell’

“People are talking this morning about the new bombshell allegations,” said ABC’s Rebecca Jarvis on Good Morning America, as the morning shows reported on “explosive” allegations of sexual harassment against former Fox News chairman Roger Ailes that reportedly appear in Megyn Kelly‘s upcoming memoir.

On NBC’s Today, Stephanie Gosk cited a source “in a position to know” who confirmed the reported quotes about Ailes from Kelly’s new book were accurate.

“I would be called into Roger’s office, he would shut the door,” reads an exerpt published by Radar Online. “He would engage in a kind of cat-and-mouse game with me … veering between obviously inappropriate sexually charged comments … and legitimate professional advice.”

According to the report, Ailes began harassing Kelly in 2005, with “sexually charged comments” and, in one incident, Kelly writes that Ailes tried “to grab me repeatedly and kiss me on the lips.”

Ailes has repeatedly denied allegations of sexual harassment.

His attorney told ABC News in a statement, “This is what Ms. Kelly had to say about Roger Ailes only one year ago on the Charlie Rose program, ‘I really care about Roger. And he has been nothing but good to me. And he’s been very loyal. And he’s had my back. And he’s looked out for me.’ Mr. Ailes denies her allegations of sexual harassment or misconduct of any kind.”
