Morning Show Ratings: Week of September 5

NBC’s “Today” was the most-watched morning show for the week of September 5-9, besting its closest competitor — ABC’s “Good Morning America” — by 710,000 total viewers and 630,000 A25-24 viewers.

Year-over-year, both “Today” and “GMA” have seen growth in both categories. “Today” has grown +6% in total viewers and +4% in A25-54 viewers; “GMA” was up +15% in total viewers and +11% in the demographic.

“The Early Show” on CBS was down slightly across the board — -1% in total viewers and -4% in the demographic — compared to the same week last year.

  • Total Viewers: NBC: 5.43M / ABC: 4.72M / CBS: 2.50M
  • A25-54 viewers: NBC: 2.42M / ABC: 1.79M / CBS: 984K
