Morning Show Ratings: Week of September 19

NBC’s “Today” was the most-watched morning show for the week of September 19, topping second-place “Good Morning America” on ABC by 400,000 total viewers and 480,000 A25-54 viewers.

ABC had the smallest total-viewer gap with NBC in 16 years. Both “GMA” and “Today” improved their total-viewer growth compared to the same week last year, with “GMA” posting a +22% increase and NBC posting a +3% increase. “The Early Show” on CBS was down in total viewers -5%.

In the A25-54 demographic, “GMA” was the only show to post a year-over-year gain, increasing younger viewers by +15%. “Today” was down -3% and “The Early Show” was down -6%.

  • A25-54 viewers: NBC: 2.35M / ABC: 1.87M / CBS: 972K
