Morning Show Ratings: Week of Oct. 9

ABC’s Good Morning America wins another week in the mornings, while NBC’s Today show is No. 1 in the A25-54 demo.

GMA narrowed the 25-54 demo gap with Today by -65 percent. At the same time, Today is closing the total viewer gap with GMA. This week last year, GMA lead by 188,000 viewers. Last week, GMA’s lead was 81,000.

Both GMA and Today were down versus the same week in 2016.

ABC was down -6 percent in total viewers and the demo, NBC was down -4 percent in viewers and down -13 percent in the demo. CBS This Morning was up +2 percent in viewers, but down -16 percent in the A25-54 demo for the week. Season-to-date, CBS is up +1 percent from last year.

On Monday, CBS This Morning was retitled to CBS This Morn. The telecast is excluded from the weekly averages.

The numbers for the week of Oct. 9, 2017:

  • Total Viewers: ABC: 4,211,000 / NBC: 4,130,000 / CBS: 3,491,000
  • A25-54 viewers: ABC: 1,384,000 / NBC: 1,473,000 / CBS: 919,000
