Morning Show Ratings: Week of May 12

morningshowanchors2014“CBS This Morning,” while still in third place, showed the most year-over-year growth of the three network morning shows last week. “CTM” is up +8% in viewers, but down -7% in the A25-54 demo, the preferred news demographic.

NBC’s “Today” showed the most growth in the A25-54 demo: up +7% while also up +5% in viewers. ABC’s “Good Morning America” remains No 1. with a +678,000 viewer lead. “GMA” was up +1% in viewers and up +2% in the A25-54 demo.

“GMA” also edged “Today” by +4,000 viewers (.25%) in the A18-49 demo. That’s a demographic we don’t write about much here, but one that NBC touted in full page ads yesterday showing that “Today” was the No. 1 morning show in that demo.

  • Total Viewers: ABC: 5.649M / NBC: 4.971M / CBS: 3.101M
  • A25-54 viewers: ABC: 2.158M / NBC: 2.050M / CBS: 940,000
