Morning Show Ratings: Week of March 9

morning show anchors_640Daylight Saving Time is taking a bite out of TV news ratings. As we told you earlier this week, the start of DST caused a drop in evening news ratings. The same can now be said for the mornings. Week-to-week ABC’s “Good Morning America” is down -14% in viewers, NBC’s “Today” is down -16% and “CBS This Morning” is down -11%.

Only one program — “CBS This Morning” is seeing growth compared to the same week last year: “CTM” is up +8% in both total viewers and the A25-54 demo. “Good Morning America” is down -8% in viewers and down -13% in the demo, while “Today” is down -9% in viewers and down -11% in the demo.

  • A25-54 viewers: ABC: 1.951M / NBC: 1.810M / CBS: 1.036M
