Morning Show Ratings: Week of March 26

While Katie Couric’s return to morning television is the big morning show story this week, the big news about last week is that “Good Morning America” edged ever closer to beating “Today” with the Total Viewer gap at just 119,000 viewers, the smallest in almost seven years.

For the second week in a row, “GMA” beat “Today” twice in Total Viewers, by +107,000 last Wednesday and +89,000 last Friday.

All three shows were down compared to the same week last year. “Today” is down -8% in Total Viewers and -10% in A25-54 viewers. “GMA” is down -1% in Total Viewers and -2% in the demo. And “CBS This Morning” is down -11% and -8%, respectively.

  • Total Viewers: NBC: 4.98M / ABC: 4.86M / CBS: 2.42M
  • A25-54 viewers: NBC: 2.19M / ABC: 1.92M / CBS: 1.01M
