Morning Show Ratings: Week of March 12

“Today” remained the number one morning show for the week of March 12, but ABC’s “Good Morning America” continues to make headway against the perennial ratings leader. Last week,  the gap between”GMA” and “Today” was 260,000 Total Viewers and 290,000 A24-54 viewers — the smallest demographic gap since July 2008.

All three broadcasts were down week-to-week in Total Viewers and A25-54 viewers. Compared to the same week last year, “GMA” was up slightly in Total Viewers and the A25-54 demographic. “Today” was down -5% in Total Viewers and -12% in the demographic, while “CBS This Morning” was down -5% and -6%, respectively.

The averages for the week of March 12:

  • Total Viewers: NBC: 4.99M / ABC: 4.73M / CBS: 2.45M
  • A25-54 viewers: NBC: 2.21M / ABC: 1.92M / CBS: 1.03M
