Morning Show Ratings: Week of March 11

The morning shows delivered a familiar trend last week on the ratings front: Good Morning America was No. 1 in total viewers, Today show was No. 1 in younger demos, including A25-54, and all three of broadcast’s morning shows -including CBS This Morning- were down year-over-year.

Season to date, GMA is the No. 1 morning newscast in total viewers for the 7th straight year after finishing as the No. 1 morning newscast for the last 6 seasons. Relative to the comparable week in 2018, GMA was -3 percent in total viewers, and -10 percent among adults 25-54.

NBC’s Today was the top morning show among adults 25-54, per usual. The win marks 168 consecutive weeks in first place, Today’s best demo streak in more than six years.  Today also won in total viewers last Monday. Year over year, grew its demo lead over GMA by +28 percent. The NBC morning show was -2 percent in total viewers and -8 percent in A25-54 viewers vs. the comparable week in 2018.

CBS This Morning was -5 percent in total viewers and -10 percent among adults 25-54 vs. the same week in 2018.
