Morning Show Ratings: Week of June 22 and Q2 2015

morning show anchors_640ABC’s Good Morning America wins its 12th consecutive quarter in total viewers and 11th straight in the A25-54 demo. But the demo lead is tightening, as GMA led NBC’s Today show by +55,000 viewers, or just +3 percent for the quarter. In fact, Today won 5 of the last 10 weeks in the ad-friendly news demo, including last week.

Meanwhile, CBS This Morning continues showing the most growth, and had its best Q2 since the advent of people meters (September 1987). CTM was up +14 percent in viewers compared to Q2 2014. The CBS morning show hasn’t been this close to NBC’s Today in the demo in 21 years (since 2nd Quarter 1994).

  • A25-54 viewers: ABC: 1.615M / NBC: 1.625M / CBS: 888K

The averages for Q2 2015:

  • Total Viewers: ABC: 5.112M / NBC: 4.626M / CBS: 3.500M
  • A25-54 viewers: ABC: 1.808M / NBC: 1.753M / CBS: 1.010M
