By Chris Ariens

The “Today” show has now maintained the top spot in the mornings for the last four weeks and wins the second quarter of 2012. The lead on #2 “Good Morning America” for the week was +133,000 Total Viewers.

All three shows are down compared to the same week last year, which was Ann Curry’s second week as co-host.

For the just completed second quarter, “Today” held a +72,000 viewer lead and a larger +241,000 A25-54 viewer lead. “Today” continues its streak as the #1 show in younger viewers now at 895 straight weeks. But this is closest “GMA” has been in 17 years. “GMA” also experienced its most-watched second quarter since 2005.
