By A.J. Katz

As was the case in the evening news ratings race, ABC was No. 1 in total viewers among the morning shows, NBC was No.1 among adults 25-54 and CBS posted year-over-year audience declines.

Season to date, Good Morning America is the No. 1 morning newscast in total viewers, leading Today by +67,000 (4.217 million vs. 4.150 million), and taking the top spot at this point of the season for the sixth year in a row. Compared to the same week last year, GMA was flat in total viewers, but -6 percent in the key A25-54 demographic.

Today finished No. 1 among adults 25-54 for 133rd consecutive week, the show’s best streak in six years. Season to date, it remains the top morning show in the key demos, leading GMA by +11 percent in A25-54. Today also posted year-over-year growth in total viewers (yes, you read that right), the only morning show to accomplish that feat this past week (+1 percent).
