Morning Show Ratings: Week of July 24

By A.J. Katz

Good Morning America finished No. 1 in total viewers, Today remained at the top in the ad-friendly A25-54 demo, and CBS This Morning actually posted slight year-over-year total viewer growth this past week.

In addition to being the most-watched morning show of the week, GMA gave Today a rare run for its money in the key 25-54 demo. ABC managed to beat NBC in the demo on Monday and Thursday in the mornings, and had its smallest demo margin for a week since Dec. 21, 2015.

That said, the program posted audience declines versus the comparable week in 2016, -8 percent in total viewers and -9 percent in the demo.

One morning show posted a positive total viewer trend from the comparable week last year. CBS This Morning grew +.2 percent in total viewers, but struggled in the demo versus last year (-7 percent).
