Morning Show Ratings: Week of Feb. 11

By A.J. Katz

When it comes to morning show weekly ratings, we’ve been accustomed to writing about ABC averaging the most total viewers, and NBC delivering the most from the A25-54 demo.

That wasn’t true for the week of Feb. 11. NBC’s Today show was No. 1 outright last week across all measurements, including total viewers and A25-54 viewers. The program won the aforementioned demo for 164th consecutive week, its best streak in over six years.

Versus the same week in 2018 (which the first week of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics) Today was -10 percent in total viewers and -14 percent in demo viewers. But that’s not necessarily a shocker. NBC traditionally gets more casual news viewers in the mornings when the Olympic torch is lit.

The program was -1 percent in total viewers and -9 percent in A25-54 viewers vs. the comparable week in 2018.

CBS This Morning was -2 percent in total viewers and -4 percent in A25-54 viewers from the same week last year.
