
Good Morning America was back on top as the most-watched network morning show, after three winning weeks (which included the Rio Olympics) from NBC’s Today show.
GMA topped Today by a slim +4 percent among total viewers, while Today was No. 1 again in the ad-friendly A25-54 demo, with an +18 percent lead on GMA. Today had exactly the same number of viewers last week as it did the same week last year, while GMA was down -6 percent.
CBS This Morning was the only morning program to grow: up +4 percent in viewers and up +17 percent in the demo. The Today show also grew its demo audience, up +6 percent while GMA lost -9 percent of its younger viewers.
