Morning Show Ratings: Week of Aug. 18

So, just how big were the the Beijing Olympics for NBC’s morning show? NBC announced that the two week average of the Today show outdrew the prime time averages of ABC, CBS and FOX.

Not only was Today #1 again last week, the show topped its closest competitor, Good Morning America, by more than 2.4 million viewers.

Today lost viewers from week one of the games (Phelps-a-thon), while GMA and CBS’ The Early Show saw week-to-week growth.

For the week of Aug. 18:

Total Viewers: NBC: 6,200,000 / ABC: 3,800,000 / CBS: 2,500,000
