Morning in Prime: Norah O’Donnell on ‘Blue Bloods;’ Al Roker Cut From ‘Mysteries’

It’s corporate synergy at its finest, and just in time for November Sweeps.

Norah O’Donnell of “CBS This Morning” makes a cameo on an upcoming episode of CBS’ “Blue Bloods.” The result was some nice cross promotion, as “CTM” shot a segment about the scene which was filmed at Studio 57. That episode airs next Friday.

NBC had a similar approach when the “Today” show’s Al Roker filmed a scene for an upcoming episode of “The Mysteries of Laura.” Unfortunately for Roker fans, the scene was left on the cutting room floor. “You were cut?,” Willie Geist asked this morning. “I was cut,” Roker confirmed, “My cameo never made it into the show.”
