A familiar face at CNBC is officially joining the on-air team at Squawk Alley.

Veteran general assignment reporter Morgan Brennan has been named Squawk Alley co-anchor, joining Carl Quintanilla and Jon Fortt at the table, effective immediately.

Since joining the powerhouse business news outlet in December 2013, Brennan has covered a variety of sectors at CNBC, including manufacturing, defense and space, transportation, infrastructure and insurance.

Now she’ll be talking tech weekdays at 11 a.m. from the floor of the NYSE.

CNBC svp and editor chief of business news Nik Deogun sent the following internal note:

I am pleased to announce that Morgan Brennan will be joining Carl Quintanilla and Jon Fortt as co-anchor of Squawk Alley, effective immediately.
Since joining CNBC as a reporter in 2013, Morgan has impressed all of us with her energy, work ethic and keen storytelling sense. She has eagerly embraced a variety of beats from space and defense to transportation and insurance (yes, insurance!).
With technology imbuing every major company, Morgan will continue covering some of the same beats she currently covers, bringing her reporting firepower to Squawk Alley every day.
Please join me in congratulating Morgan on her new role.
