More Women On CBS: Another Viewpoint

A CBS insider responds to this morning’s post titled “Schieffer Showcasing Women” and says the credit belongs to the news division’s former #2:

“It might be interesting to note that despite women getting more airtime on CBS , the “fishbowl” (senior producers/exec prod — where the real power really lies) is made up of 4 men (all white) and 1 woman — and the 1 woman remaining is on her way out. More women on the CBS Evening News is not a Schieffer/Evening News contribution. It was a push of many years by former VP Marcy McGinnis — who departed after new prez Sean McManus came in…”
