ABC News President David Westin today announced the remaining news desk staff changes as a part of the network’s recent restructuring.
Dimitrije Stejic will be Deputy Foreign Managing Editor based in London and reporting to Tom Nagorski, the Foreign Managing Editor. David Herndon will be western Deputy Managing Editor based in LA and Wendy Fisher will be eastern Deputy Managing Editor based in New York, and both will report to Domestic Managing Editor David Reiter. Michael Kreisel will become the new Planning Manager.
Reiter and Nagorski were both named to their positions a few weeks ago.
In an email announcement to staff obtained by TVNewser, Westin wrote, “Together, this group will assume many of the editorial and assignment responsibilities that have been performed by our bureaus in the past.”

I’m pleased to announce the rest of our new news desk leadership.
Tom Nagorski, our Foreign Managing Editor, will have Dimitrije Stejic reporting to him as our Deputy Foreign Managing Editor. Dimitrije will be based in London.
David Reiter, our Domestic Managing Editor, will have David Herndon and Wendy Fisher reporting to him as our western Deputy Managing Editor and eastern Deputy Managing Editor, respectively. David will be based in Los Angeles; Wendy will be based in New York.
In addition, Michael Kreisel will be our new Planning Manager. Working with Marc Burstein, Michael will assume many of the responsibilities for planning coverage of major news events around the world.
Together, this group will assume many of the editorial and assignment responsibilities that have been performed by our bureaus in the past. We are fortunate to have such an experienced and talented group of men and women to guide our news coverage in partnership with our programs and other platforms.
