An e-mailer pointed me to Wednesday’s Nightline, which saw a “Sign of the Times” in Gawker’s new “Stalker” feature.
After John Berman‘s piece, Terry Moran offered his take: “Strike a blow for privacy and ordinary human decency. Just boycott Gawker Stalker.“
In the transcript, it comes across as an off-hand remark. But he’s basically urging a boycott of a private enterprise. An industry vet e-mails his reaction: “Now, I consider myself to be an old-timer in this business, but I cannot recall anything like this happening in the modern era. I mean, you’d expect it from one of the flaky anchors on the cable shout shows, but.. Nightline?”
