By Marcus Vanderberg

NHL play-by-play announcer Mike “Doc” Emrick was selected to enter the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Monday, along with Chris Chelios, Gary Suter, Keith Tkachuk and Philadelphia Flyers owner Ed Snider.

All five will be inducted this fall in Chicago, though a time and date haven’t been announced yet.

Last month, Emrick announced he was leaving his role as the voice of the New Jersey Devils for a full-time gig with NBC/Versus.
