Midterms: “Something Majestic”

“There is something majestic about what is going to happen tomorrow. Eighty million Americans — or thereabouts — will go to their local school or firehouse and express our national collective will. It is the bi-annual reaffirmation of what Gerald Ford said in his swearing in address: ‘Here the people rule.’ And there is perhaps an even greater majesty to the day when you keep in mind that 170,000 American kids are serving in war zones, putting their lives on the line.”
