Midterms: ABC To Start At 9:30

ABC News is extending its Vote 2006 coverage by half an hour, starting at 9:30pm tonight, the network announced this afternoon. Charles Gibson will anchor the coverage, which was previously scheduled to start at 10pm.

An ABC Newser tells TVNewser: “David Westin has been lobbying hard for additional time. This is one of the most exciting mid-term elections in recent history — Charlie, George and the whole team are elated have the extra time at 9:30.”

B&C says “ABC will pull the Ted Danson sitcom Help Me, Help You for the night, which has needed some help of its own as it hs continued to lose viewers from its strong Dancing with the Stars lead-in…”
