Former CNN New Day co-anchor Michaela Pereira will debut her new LA-based show on HLN next month. The network announced Monday the live, three-hour daily news program will be called “Michaela” and air from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET, starting July 11.

Describing the show, HLN says in a statement “‘Michaela’ is the only national morning news program broadcast from Los Angeles. ‘Michaela’ has an upbeat vibe with issue driven conversation, lively guests and breaking news. ‘Michaela’ explores the conversation about the people and passion that drive the day’s headlines.”

Pereira, a former Los Angeles news anchor, announced in March she would leave New Day and return to the West Coast. Her last day on CNN’s morning show was April 29.

In March, HLN said Pereira’s new show would have a format similar to HLN’s Morning Express with Robin Meade. HLN has hired Scott Warren as executive producer. Warren and Pereira have close ties, having worked at both LA station KTLA and at TechTV in the same roles as anchor and ep.
