Megyn Kelly to Host First Special for FOX

By Chris Ariens

Megyn Kelly will host her first special for the FOX broadcast network.

The special, airing Monday, May 23 at 8 p.m. ET, will feature celebrity interviews from the worlds of politics and entertainment. FOX says the special “will also be personal in nature and address the year Kelly has had as one of the most prominent voices covering the 2016 presidential campaign.” Kelly will co-moderate her fourth GOP debate Monday on Fox News. It was the first debate, back in August, that touched off a feud between Kelly and candidate Donald Trump, which was, for the most part, smoothed over by the third debate earlier this month. (But then again, no).

Broadcast TV veteran Bill Geddie will serve as executive producer of the special, which will be produced by his company, May Avenue Productions. Geddie worked with Barbara Walters for more than 25 years, starting in 1988 as producer of The Barbara Walters Specials.

Kelly has landed some big interviews on her Fox News show recently including the Duggar family, Bill Ayers, Charles Koch and Michael Moore.

Before starting his own production company, Geddie was executive producer of The View, along with Walters, for 17 years. He also helped launch the 10 Most Fascinating People specials which he co-wrote and directed.
