Meteorologist Liana Brackett will join The Weather Channel in an on-camera role, the network announced Wednesday.
The hire comes as TWC continues its return to forecasting and breaking weather coverage and away from scripted programs.
Brackett previously worked as a meteorologist and producer at KPTV, the Fox affiliate in Portland, Oregon, where she started her career with the National Weather Service back in 2009.
