Meredith Vieira Show Ends Its Run: ‘It Has Been Such a Pleasure.’

Meredith Vieira ended her run as a daytime talk show host with the airing of the final Meredith Vieira Show Friday.

“When I started this show two years ago I told you that I returned to television because I missed all of you,” Vieira said. She isn’t straying too far from TV. Along with Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie Vieira will co-host the opening ceremony of the Rio Olympics on NBC. Vieira’s show will remain on many stations, in reruns, for several weeks. While other stations, including WNBC in New York, KNBC in Los Angeles, WTVJ in Miami and WVIT Hartford will begin airing 4 p.m. newscasts which will mean schedule changes for other syndicated daytime shows.
