Meredith Vieira is hosting the 20th Annual Headlines & Headliners NLGJA event Thursday, April 16. More than 300 journalists, news executives and allies are expected to attend the event held at NYC’s Prince George Ballroom.
The National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association’s event raises tens of thousands of dollars for the organizations initiatives, including providing scholarships to aspiring LGBT journalists. Vieira will present NLGJA’s 10th Leroy F. Aarons Scholarship and the fifth Kay Longcope Scholarship.
“NLGJA is incredibly honored to have Meredith Vieira once again host our largest fundraiser on this the 25th anniversary of the organization,” said NLGJA President Jen Christensen. “Meredith has been a longtime friend to NLGJA and her work is the gold standard for how to fairly and accurately cover the LGBT community.”
