Fox News host Megyn Kelly says despite months of disparaging comments made about her by Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump, she would “absolutely” welcome him on her show, The Kelly File.
In an interview with Charlie Rose to air this weekend on CBS Sunday Morning, Kelly says it really was one tough question in the first GOP debate that seems to have led to Trump’s very one-sided feud:
Rose: Why did he start? Does it all go back to a question in August of 2015?
Kelly: Yes it did. Clearly. Because Trump and I really didn’t have a relationship at all prior to that.
Rose: Because some think about this, and they look at it, and they say, “Why her?”
Kelly: I think it’s very clear to him that he cannot control the editorial on my show, or from me, in a debate or other setting–
Rose: Just that? That’s all it is?
Kelly: I wouldn’t want to speculate beyond that.Advertisement
