Megyn Kelly Signs Book Deal

By Maryann Yin

Megyn Kelly has signed a book deal with the Harper imprint. The Fox News journalist has become well-known for questioning the temperament of Donald Trump during the first GOP debate held in August 2015. Trump then spent months criticizing the Fox News prime time host, and ultimately bowed out of the second GOP debate last week.

Lisa Sharkey, the senior vice president director of creative development, acquired the manuscript. Matt Harper, an executive editor, will edit this project. “This book is coming out at the perfect time and is bound to be one of the most read and talked about books of the fall,” Sharkey said. Harper, a News Corp. imprint, is a sister company of Fox News Channel.

This will mark Kelly’s debut as an author. Her husband Douglas Brunt is a published author of fiction.
