Meghan McCain made her debut Monday night as a Fox News contributor, just as Donald Trump‘s comments on her father’s service in Vietnam were a major news story. “It’s not just an attack on my father. It is an attack on all veterans and an attack on all POWs,” she told Fox News host Megyn Kelly.
McCain also blamed the news media:
I don’t think the media is blowing this up. I think it was an incredibly disgusting, incendiary comment by Donald Trump. But I do think the media loves Republican on Republican fighting, which Ted Cruz said yesterday. And I do believe like I said before, it is taking away from discussing the failures of the Obama Administration and the short comings of Hillary Clinton, which is why this is really very sad.
