Both Cynthia McFadden and Chris Matthews will be appearing at the third annual New York Times Great Read in Manhattan next Sunday.
At one event, the Great Children’s Read, McFadden, along with actress Mariska Hargitay, NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly, and others, will read to children. McFadden will read from the book Abiyoyo, by Pete Seeger.
Matthews will join fellow authors (such as Alan Alda and Amy Bloom) at the Great Read’s other marquee event, the Great Literary Brunch. Sorry, folks, the $130 Brunch tickets are sold out.

Matthews has been on the book tour for his latest tome, Life’s A Campaign, including a memorable appearance Tuesday on The Daily Show.
