May #’s: May 2006 Vs. May 2005

In the 25-54 demographic, Fox News lost primetime viewers in May 2006, compared to the same month in 2005. Among young viewers, O’Reilly lost 10 percent, H&C lost 18 percent, and Greta lost 22 percent compared to May 2005.

Fox News still won every hour in total viewers and the demo. CNN came closest to beating FNC in the demo at 5pm, when The Situation Room was just 6,000 viewers shy of The Big Story. In the demo, CNN is up compared to the year-ago at 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, and 11pm.

Keith Olbermann beat Paula Zahn in the demo again in May. In the demo, MSNBC is up across the board, except at 6 and 10pm.
