Maria Bartiromo: New Book ‘My Way of Sharing What I’ve Learned’

By Alissa Krinsky

CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo speaks with Woman’s Day about her new book, The 10 Laws of Enduring Success, due out March 30. Excerpts:

• “I’ve had the great fortune to talk to some of the most successful people in the world. My new book…is my way of sharing what I’ve learned from them about what it takes to be (and stay!) successful — not just financially, but in terms of happiness too.”

• “Having a well-balanced life has been tough for me. Work is so much of my life, but I’m lucky to have a husband who understands. You have to try to give each thing its time, like family, exercise, hobbies. If you can do that, then I think you can find a balance.”

• “The only way for a woman to gain respect in a male-dominated field is to have the know-how. My mom always told me that there are no shortcuts, and she was right.”

TVNewser’s Chris Ariens spoke with Bartiromo in January about the book and how journalists can find ‘enduring success’ in a changing media landscape.
