By Chris Ariens

HumeArmfieldBob Armfield directed his final FOX News Sunday this morning. Armfield has been with Fox for 17 years.

Armfield, pictured with Brit Hume, joined Fox News in February 1998 as the director for Special Report which Hume anchored. Armfield directed Special Report for 13 years before moving to FOX News Sunday in 2011. Armfield also directed three Presidential State of the Union addresses for FOX as well as President George W. Bush’s “Address to a Joint session of Congress and the Nation” on Sept. 20, nine days after the 9/11 attacks.

Armfield is leaving to devote more time to his voice over career. (Here’s a 2008 campaign ad Armfield voiced.)
