Longtime CNN executive producer Javi Morgado told his team Monday that he is exiting the network. Morgado has led At This Hour with Kate Bolduan since April 2021 and previously spent six and a half years in charge of New Day.

Morgado joined CNN in December 2011 as the senior broadcast producer for CNN’s four-hour morning block (before it was named New Day), reporting to then-ep Shannon High. He would rise to the role of New Day executive producer three years later, a position he held until April of last year.

Earlier in his career, Morgado spent more than a decade at NBC News, first at Miami’s WTVJ and lastly as the supervising broadcast producer for NBC’s Today.
