FBN’s Liz Claman gets the first interview — a jailhouse sit-down — with ex-Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski since his criminal conviction appeal was rejected by a New York state court last month. It is scheduled to air today on Bulls & Bears at 4pmET.
Kozlowski talks with Claman about the federal bailout plan, and about the plights of companies like Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns & AIG.
Specifically, Kozlowski compares recent developments involving AIG with the flack he took for that famous shower curtain he once purchased. “I sit here and I read about a $150 billion bailout of AIG,” he tells Claman, “I compare it to a $6,000 shower curtain. It’s hard to reconcile the two…You couldn’t even closely draw a comparison, at all.”
He also reflects on his time behind bars. “Murderers that I’ve met, rapists, there are certainly people that have far less of a sentence than I have, yes.”
