Libya Pushes Japan to Back Burner On Sunday Shows

By Alex Weprin

The U.S.-led attack on Libya pushed the serious situation in Japan to the back burner on the Sunday morning public affairs shows.

All three programs were going to lead with the nuclear crisis in Japan, with Energy Secretary Steven Chu expected to appear on all three programs.

With the engagement in Libya Saturday, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen ended up appearing on all three programs to discuss what the U.S. was doing in the North African country.
