Libya, Border Violence and NFL Lockout topics at Obama/Calderon Newser

By Chris Ariens

After an opening statement about his meeting with Mexican President Felipe Calderon, Pres. Obama gave remarks on the situation in Libya and then took questions. CNN, Fox News and MSNBC all carried the statements and the questions which followed.

The first question went to the AP’s Ben Feller, although his was a three-parter: to Pres. Obama on Libya and the potential for an NFL lockout; and a question to Pres. Calderon on U.S.-Mexico border violence. Obama answered the football question first: “The two parties should be able to work it out without the President of the United States intervening… it turns out I’ve got a lot of other stuff to do.”
