Let Your Inner Storyteller Shine at CNN

By Nadine Cheung

If your heart skips a beat at the idea of creating compelling documentaries, CNN needs you. The Atlanta-based network is in search of a senior producer to create character-driven stories for its “In America” series. The position does require frequent travel, so you’ll need to be able and willing to go far and wide for your piece.

If you land the gig, you’ll research tips and pitches to determine whether they’re worth covering. You’ll then be responsible for crafting the story for TV and executing its production, including setting up field production, creating graphics, supervising edit sessions and maintaining legal/standards obligations.

“In America” is headed in a new direction, which makes this is a great time to get involved. The ideal candidate has 7-10 years of experience producing long-form documentaries, leading field production and supervising producers. A journalism background is preferred, but not required as long as you have commensurate experience and strong writing skills. Ready to put your A game into play? Apply here.
