Today show producer Molly Palmer Cowan and husband Lee Cowan of CBS Sunday Morning have welcomed a new baby boy to their family.
Harrison Leland Cowan was born Friday morning in the Los Angeles area, measuring 21.5 inches long and weighing 8 lbs., 5 oz. He joins big brother Kevin, who is 2.
At first, Kevin “thought his baby brother was someone you just visit at the hospital,” Lee Cowan told TVNewser. “But he’s warming up to the idea of sharing us, and his toys.”
As for mom and dad, “we’re still getting used to saying that we have kids, plural,” Lee said.
It’s far too early to know if Harrison will carry on the family tradition of reporting news: in addition to being the child of journalists, he also is the grandson of journalist and writer Nancy Doyle Palmer and the late NBC Newsman John Palmer.
