Laura Ingraham Re-Ups with Fox News Channel

By Alex Weprin

First on TVNewser: Fox News Channel has signed conservative commentator Laura Ingraham to a multi-year contract extension. Ingraham serves as a fill-in host and contributor to the network, and serves as the primary guest host for Bill O’Reilly‘s 8 PM program “The O’Reilly Factor.”

“I am glad Laura has re-signed with FOX,” said Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes in a statement. “She is a great talent. She’s very smart, with searing insights, and she has a terrific sense of humor.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed beyond the fact that it is seven-figures. Considering that Ingraham is not a full-time host, the actual number is likely closer to the $2 million deal signed by Juan Williams a few weeks ago than to the $8 million-plus extension the network  inked with Shepard Smith.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be continuing my career in political analysis and commentary on Fox News,” said Ingraham in a statement. “There is no other place on cable with a more dedicated team of professionals at every level, and it is this commitment to excellence that makes me most proud to call Fox News home.”
