This is the 4th straight November sweeps that “Nightline” has won in total viewers, and the third straight in A25-54. “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on NBC placed second in all three categories, followed by CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman.”

For the week of November 19, “Nightline” placed second in total viewers and A25-54 behind Leno, and third in A18-49.

In January the show will move to the 12:35PM timeslot to make room for “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” and the broadcast will expand from 25 minutes to its original 30 minutes. Beginning in March, “Nightline” will also get an additional hour at 9PM on Fridays, though ABC has only committed to one cycle of primetime shows.

ABC’s ratings are based on a 25-minute broadcast, while CBS and NBC are based on approximately :50 minutes (prior to the final national commercial break of each program).
