“With nearly 6 million viewers, last week marked Today’s best week in A25-54 in seven weeks, its best delivery in rating W18-49 since the week of August 29, 2005 (Hurricane Katrina), and excluding the week of Katrina, Today had its best delivery in rating W18-49 since the week of May 2, 2005,” NBC says.

‘Today’ averaged 5,964,000 viewers, while GMA had 5,344,000 and CBS had 2,700,000. (Last year, the gap was 970,000 viewers, so ABC says they have cut NBC’s lead by 36%.) In the 25-54 demographic, the race is a bit closer: Today had 2.83 million and GMA had 2.4 million, a difference of 430,000 viewers.
