Quoting CNN’s press release: “On Wednesday, June 27th, 3.203 million total viewers and 1.418 million P25-54 demo viewers tuned in to CNN’s Larry King for Paris Hilton’s first TV interview since her release from jail. This is the show’s highest total viewer and demo delivery for a regularly scheduled telecast of Larry King Live so far this year.”

The scoreboard shows the Hilton effect: CNN averaged 190,000 demo viewers at 8pm and 1,418,000 demo viewers at 9pm. 932,000 stuck around for 360 at 10pm.

CNN topped FNC in primetime according to live + DVR data.

It was an interview King called “the second biggest get in the world,” but Hilton sit-down only ranked 53rd in a ten-year history of King’s interviews. Since April 1997, King has had 52 more popular broadcasts…
