Niala Charles jumps from KPNX in Phoenix to NBC News as a Los Angeles-based correspondent.
Charles will report across all NBC News platforms, including the NBC News Now ad-supported streaming channel.
Charles was most recently a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor for KPNX 12News. Prior to her work in Arizona, she was a reporter for the NBC-owned station in San Diego, leading coverage of protests following the murder of George Floyd.

Prior to San Diego, Charles reported for local affiliates in West Palm Beach, Fla. and Rochester, Minn.
