Klein’s 1st Year: Losing Market Share

In Jon Klein‘s first year as president of CNN/U.S., the network’s market share has decreased by nearly 2 percent in primetime while FNC’s has increased by about 1 percent.

The charts below show that FNC’s primetime ratings have increased about 7 percent while CNN’s have decreased 1 percent.

FNC still has 9 of the top 10 programs on cable news, and Larry King slipped from 6th to 7th. (See the chart after the jump.)

Additionally, FNC has beat CNN on every breaking news story in 2005, as this Excel chart shows.
