Kim Godwin Expands Role at CBS News

Kim Godwin has been named executive director for development and diversity at CBS News. Godwin will continue as Senior Broadcast Producer of the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley while taking on her new duties at the Eye.

Godwin will report to CBS News svp Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews, in addition to Steve Capus, ep of the CBS Evening News. Godwin takes on the duties of Crystal Johns, former director of talent development and diversity, who left CBS in January.

Godwin, who joined CBS in 2007, will oversee off-air talent recruiting and track staff career development. Her team will manage the development training program; the news associates program and the intern fellows program.  Godwin will also serve as division representative on diversity policies and practices.
